The Story Behind Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa™

Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa™ was born from the passion and vision of James and Carmen, affectionately known as the King and Queen of Swing. With deep roots in the Lifestyle community, their goal was clear from the start: to build a Lifestyle resort designed by Swingers, for Swingers—a place where connection, comfort, and adventure intertwine.

Before Secrets became a reality, the duo launched Hedo Events, hosting wildly popular Lifestyle parties at venues across Florida. These events quickly gained a reputation for being electrifying, inclusive, and impeccably organized. But even with the success of Hedo, James felt something was still missing—a home base. He envisioned more than just a party scene; he dreamed of a luxurious, clothing-optional escape where like-minded individuals could truly unwind, play, and stay.

That dream took shape with the launch of Club Secret® in Kissimmee, Florida. Through collaboration with other Lifestyle groups, Club Secret® established a permanent space for weekend parties and events that embodied the spirit of the Lifestyle. Then in Spring 2011, they made waves with the first-ever hotel takeover: Swingers Break®—a multi-day, clothing-optional event that redefined what Lifestyle travel could be.

Encouraged by the overwhelming support of their community, James and Carmen took their mission even further. They acquired full control of the hotel property and transformed it into a members-only, 5-star Lifestyle resort—the first of its kind. Thus, Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa™ was officially born, blending the energy of a Lifestyle party with the relaxation of a true resort getaway.

Today, James and Carmen celebrate the realization of their dream and continue to honor the community that made it possible. Secrets Hideaway isn’t just a destination—it’s a sanctuary for those who live and love the Lifestyle.
